Seeking a dedicated, compassionate, reliable and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our Team!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Nurse Practitioners (NPs) during patient visits in completing patient care and support duties
  • Travel to multiple locations throughout the Brooklyn area to perform wound care visits to patients at SNF facilities or in their homes
  • Discuss wound care and dressings with the family/caregivers
  • Input in EMR system all patient treatment plans at time of visit
  • Input and sign patient assessments, documentation and notes within 24 hours
  • Review wound progress and participate in virtual continued education programs as needed
  • Perform dressing changes as needed and/or ordered per Provider and POC
  • Coordinate patient care with assigned CHHAs, if applicable

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • CCMA Certificate
  • Associate degree (preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in a specific medical field and/or medical office
  • Experience with EMR systems and medical terminology
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Brooklyn area
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Patient-focused, professional and caring bedside manners
  • Team player and teamwork mentality
